Is back pain running your life?

It’s the end of a long day and time to catch up with the family. You are feeling at ease because you’re home for the day.

As you settle into your evening, you turn the wrong way and zap… back pain again. The stiffness and soreness are all you can focus on. You check the medicine cabinet and realize it’s time to see the doctor. Another day missed from work… another evening ruined… all from chronic low back pain.

Are you feeling so hopeless, exhausted and worn out because of this chronic back pain?

You’re not alone

Stiffness. Pain. Injury.
Is that the way it has to be?

More than 100 million Americans suffer from chronic pain at a cost of around $600 billion a year in medical treatments.Webmd.com

Think about the money you’re spending for over-the-counter and prescription drugs, doctor visits, physical therapy, etc. And there’s the time spent out of work or not doing what you love. The time wasted not being able to enjoy time with family or vacations because of pain.

What if I told you you didn’t have to be one of those statistics?

Can you imagine your life pain-free—no drugs, no surgery? Can you imagine being able to ease chronic low back pain naturally?

It’s possible. And I can show you the way.

My own experience with chronic back pain started with a herniated disk, following a car accident in 2001. I tried it all. Doctors were only too happy to oblige. They dismissed the level of pain I was feeling and prescribed every method imaginable to just numb me out. Steroid injections, opioid pain killers, and even sustained use of over-the-counter drugs.

Like so many others, I didn’t question it—I just took the advice and the drugs, numbed out, and disconnected from my body and its natural healing capabilities and intuition.

Do you want to continue to “take the edge off”—or do you just want to feel better?

The thing is—and I’m sure you know this—the pain always remained. And then I’d have to take more of what I was taking to “take the edge off.” And then more. And more. And… more.

I got to the point where I just couldn’t do it anymore. My health was failing and my pain was increasing. There had to be another way

And I found that other way. That’s why I wrote Yoga for Low Back and Hip Health—it represents ten years of intense life experience and study in anatomy, kinesiology and yoga.

If you’re ready to live the life you desire, free from chronic pain, you’re in the right place. If you’re ready to take charge of your health, ready to stop using prescription medications to “numb out” and ready to find that relief you’ve been so desperately in search of—without drugs or surgery—then the simple stretches I share with you in this book are for you.

What this is not…

You may have a preconceived notion about what yoga is, and that’s not uncommon. The unique blend of yoga that I have developed is not that yoga, however. It’s not “exercise yoga.” In fact, I believe that yoga should not be a workout.

The yoga you’ll practice with me is gentle, restorative, and therapeutic. It’s accessible to all individuals, at any age or stage in life, and with any physical limitations you can imagine.

I’m Cyndi Roberts, and I teach a unique blend of one-on-one therapeutic, gentle and restorative yoga out of my wellness center in West Hartford. It’s right off of I-84 and just two blocks from Blue Back Square.

As an RYT 500, E-RYT-200 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), I have completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training with a registered yoga school and have taught over 4,000 hours of yoga. In addition to this, I continue to further my education by taking additional trainings. Plus, I do things like read anatomy books—for fun. What this means is that I have extensive and highly-specialized experience that most yoga instructors don’t have.

This experience makes me highly qualified to help you—what I do is something you simply will not find anywhere else. In addition to group classes and workshops, I’ve been teaching one-on-one clients since 2011.
