My qualifications

In case you’re wondering what all of those numbers and letters mean…

My qualifications

In short, what this all means is that I have extensive and highly-specialized experience that most yoga instructors don’t have.

This experience makes me highly qualified to help you—it’s something you simply will not find in a group class setting.

What you’ll learn from me is that asana—yoga poses—are just the tip of the iceberg. Yoga has so much more to offer your body and soul. I’ll help you find relief in your physical body as you break through emotional barriers that have been holding you back.

Are you ready to find and sustain unshakable peace and joy in your life?

“RYT-500” means “Registered Yoga Teacher” and the “500” means I have completed a 500 hour yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (Sacred Rivers Yoga).

This designation is through Yoga Alliance®, the largest nonprofit association representing the yoga community. Their mission is to promote and support the integrity and diversity of the teaching of yoga.

“E-RYT-200” means “Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher” and the “200” means I have completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (West Hartford Yoga) and have taught over 2,000 hours of yoga.

YACEP, Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider

I am certified to lead continuing education classes and workshops to other yoga teachers and can be a Lead Trainer of a 200-hour teacher training program.

Certified Therapeutic Yoga Instructor

Certified Pranakriya Prenatal Yoga Instructor

I completed neccessary requirements for over 50 hours of yoga trainings with E-RYT-500s for both Therapeutic Yoga and Prenatal Yoga. I completed my therapeutic yoga teacher training with national instructors Cheri Clampett and Arturo Peal.

I completed my prenatal yoga training at the prestigious Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health with Jacci Reynolds — and got my certification when I was six months pregnant!

Certified Level II Reiki Master

Reiki has three different levels of mastery, and the meanings for each level differ. A Level II reiki training focuses on practicing Reiki on others, as well as the ability to offer “distance reiki” (sending healing energy to someone no matter where they are). Students receive the “Reiki symbols” and Level II attunement. Reiki symbols may be used by the practitioner to clear energy blockages in the body.

Life experience

Yoga, meditation and nutrition are the tools that I used to come back from the brink of death. I truly live what I teach. Read all about it here.

Continuing education

I continue my education by deepening my personal practice, immersing myself into yoga, meditation, spirituality and teaching—my students are my best teachers! Every moment in my life is a chance for presence, spiritual growth and expansion, as I become the best version of myself that I can be. I’m currently immersed in Sacred Rivers Yoga Studio’s 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training and graduate June 2019.

I’m an avid reader and study with National Yoga Teachers and well-respected spiritual leaders who compliment my own beliefs and teachings, such as Abraham-Hicks, Sadhguru, Anodea Judith, Tara Brach, Wayne Dyer, Pema Chodron, Byron Katie, Louise Hay, Jack Kornfield, Thich Nhat Hanh, Lee Albert, Sogyal Rinpoche, Judith Lasater, Todd Norian, Judith Orloff, Sarah Powers, Sharon Salzberg, Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Ram Dass, Deepak Chopra, Oprah Winfrey, Marie Forleo, Kris Carr, Gary Vaynerchuk, Andy Frisella, Lewis Howes, Tony Robbins, Peter Levine, Don Miguel Ruiz, Vanda Scaravelli, Mel Robbins and Teal Swan.
